TOPIC GUIDES > Dyslexia
Dyslexia is a learning disability where a person that has normal
intelligence, experiences persistent and significant problems with
reading, writing, spelling and, sometimes mathematics and musical
notation. More cases than not, the person will not have
difficulties in other areas: many dyslexic people are extremely
creative, think laterally and have excellent problem-solving skills.
Dyslexic people are visual, multi-dimensional
thinkers. They are intuitive and highly creative, and excel at hands-on
learning. Because they think in pictures, it is sometimes hard for
them to understand letters, numbers, symbols and written words.
It is a known fact that dyslexic people can
learn to read, write and study efficiently when they use methods geared
to their unique learning style.
